This summer, I had the opportunity to participate in a summer internship with NASA as a member of the Richmond disasters team. I spent three months conducting research at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA. The research project focused on tracking and assessing stormwater flooding in Richmond, VA, to improve water quality monitoring and resource management.

I gained many experiences, skills, and opportunities this summer that helped enhance my personal and professional development as well as inform future research on disasters🌊🌪️🌀, disaster risk reduction, and resilience.

To learn more about my experiences at NASA, go visit the "launching out" blog post.
